Service Support
It takes a village for the church to be the church. At Christ Church Parish we welcome the gifts and talents of all the people in our community to help make our worship experience more meaningful.
Acolytes
Acolytes assist in serving at the altar during the 10 AM Sunday service. We welcome both youth and adult acolytes. Training is provided.
Lectors and Eucharistic Ministers
Lectors and Eucharistic Ministers serve at all of our services on a rotating basis. Training is provided for those who are interested in serving in this unique and wonderful ministry.
Greeters/Ushers
Greeters typically serve at the 10:00am Sunday service. They are involved with:
- Handing out service programs
- Encouraging people to wear name tags
- Assisting visitors with finding a seat at well-attended services
- Providing an attendance count for the service
- Bringing the bread and wine to the altar for the communion
- Directing people to the altar for communion
- Offering assistance to anyone who needs it
Liturgical Arts
This creative group is in charge of decorating the church for celebrations throughout the year including the seasons of Pentecost, Advent, Christmas, Epiphany, Lent, and Easter.
Music
Our choir of 25 regular members serves at the Sunday 10:00 a.m. service and at special services throughout the year.
Altar Guild
The Altar Guild, made up of members of the parish, cares for the church’s altar, setting up for Holy Eucharist services, weekend and other special services where communion is served.
