Parish Life at Christ Church

Christ Church is a very active, engaged and dedicated parish where we join together to worship our Lord Jesus Christ, to serve the wider community and to enjoy one another. At Christ Church we have fun together and that is as important to us as anything else we are about.

Kitchen Volunteers

Hospitality

One definition of hospitality states that it is the friendly and generous reception and entertainment of guests, visitors, or strangers.  That is what we try to do at Christ Church by welcoming new people to our church community, coordinating volunteers to host the coffee hours, and hosting periodic special events and dinners to mark celebrations and milestones.  Your commitment can be for one event or ongoing involvement.

Coffee Hour

Every Sunday, September through May, after the 10:00 a.m. service there is a coffee hour in the parish hall where we can enjoy refreshments and fellowship.  Volunteers are always welcome!  The sign up sheet is located on the bulletin board near the transept door by the pulpit. During the summer months the vestry hosts Lemonade on the Lawn in the courtyard adjacent to the worship space.

Greeters

The greeters’ mission is to warmly greet and welcome all people as they enter the church prior to the beginning of worship service.  A sincere greeting, one delivered with an open heart and a smile, welcomes both members and visitors alike, letting them know that they are an important part of the worship service.

Creation Care Team

The Christ Church Creation Care Committee mission is to lead our church community in caring for God's creation and all life on earth by reducing our carbon footprint.

Evening Women’s Group

The EWG usually meets on the first Wednesday of the month for a meal and fellowship.

Men’s Group

The men of Christ Church meet every 3rd Wednesday of the month at 6:00 p.m. Typically they meet in the church parish hall for supper and fellowship.
